Illva Saronno Holding has announced the acquisition of Engine gin to “strengthen its presence in the gin world”.

Italian drinks company and owner of Disaronno and Tia Maria, Illva Saronno Group, has bought a majority stake in US rye whiskey brand and distillery, Sagamore Spirit.

Premium Italian spirits company Illva Saronno, best known for producing Disaronno and Tia Maria, has announced plans to launch its own UK subsidiary, Disaronno International UK.

The directors of Walsh Whiskey Distillery have decided to split the business by separating the Irish whiskeys brands Writers’ Tears and The Irishman from the distillery business at Royal Oak, in Ireland’s County Carlow.

The CEO of Disaronno parent company Illva Saronno, Augusto Reina, has said they plan to reach 1m cases of Indian whiskey in the near future.
